The idea of a Blog

You’re probably wondering how I came up with the idea of a blog. In this post, I’ll tell you. It all started when I took a year off after completing my high school diploma, as I needed a break from school. My goal was clear: I wanted to travel.

My first trip was a road trip with two friends across Italy. During the long drive, I came up with the idea that in the future I wanted to record my travels with writing a journal so that I could remember them later. However, I quickly realized that I did not have the motivation to write and preferred to capture the journey in pictures.

My second trip during the year was a four day trip to Rome with my ex-girlfriend. Again, the thought came up to me to record the journey with a journal. And again I was too lazy to follow up on the intent to do something.

My last but big trip was to Australia. For about 6 weeks I was allowed to enjoy the country to the fullest. Finally the time had come: I decided to write down the journey in a diary and to expand it with photos and objects. However, I was only partially satisfied with the result. I didn’t know what bothered me, but something in me said it was not what I wanted.

I read a lot of travel blogs during my gap year. While surfing the internet one afternoon to get ready for my next trip, all of a sudden I thought: why not create my own travel blog? That way, I can connect everything I enjoy, and even have a journal that I can access again and again. In addition, my motivation to report on my travels increases when I share my experiences with you and many other readers.

Therefore, if you are planning a trip, you are welcome to check out my blog or even contact me directly. I will be happy to advise you as well as possible and since I make another gap year, I will travel around more often again. That’s why it’s worth to keep coming back to my travel blog again.
